A dense super-aromatic California native shrub that grows up to 5 feet tall and wide. Leaves are gray-green and plant produces 2 foot long flower spikes of deep lavender flowers forming on a tier of whorls from spring to late summer. Plant requires full sun, well-draining soil and only occasional summer watering. Once established it requires even less watering. This salvia loves heat and is also frost hardy to about 15° F!
